Music Notes

We are continuing to see our worship choir grow in number as we have added a few of youth.  We are excited about what God is  doing with our children’s and youth ministries here at Springfield and we want to give our youth, from  middle school and up, the opportunity to become involved in the worship of our church. What better way to train  tomorrow’s leaders than to get these young people involved as soon as possible. I hope you will make a point to let these youth know how happy you are to see them  giving their talents to the Lord. Some of you adults (who know that you can sing) need to come on and join with us in our worship choir and help us as we lead our church in worship each week. We will be   looking for you on Wednesday nights!

I want to highlight a very special event that we will have on       Super Bowl Sunday, February 5, beginning at 4:30pm with a special praise and worship service followed by a Super Bowl Fellowship held in the fellowship hall and our youth activity room.  The 4:30pm service will serve as our Sunday night service (there will be no service at 6:00PM), and will be filled with wonderful praise to our Lord Jesus Christ as well as  contain an evangelistic message. 

We want to use this event as an outreach effort to invite friends and visitors to come and worship with us and then enjoy a night of fellowship together as we watch the Super Bowl. There will be a devotional during the game’s half-time as we share Christ with those visitors who may be present. Pizza and drinks will be provided and we are asking everyone to bring their favorite “party snack” (such as chips, cookies, desserts, etc.) to share.  Let’s use this unique opportunity to reach out to others for Jesus Christ and see someone come to know Him as their personal savior!  Let’s all get EXCITED and INVOLVED in what God is doing here at Springfield!
